2027 CGSO Fellowship Match (Positions Start August 2028)
- Applicants participating in the 2027 Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match must submit applications and all required supporting documents through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) does not accept or process fellowship applications.
- Beginning June 5, 2026, applicants must request a Token from the ERAS Fellowships Documents Office (EFDO) before registering on MyERAS and completing the application.

| Application Opens | MyERAS will open for fellowship applicants to register and begin working on their applications on November 12, 2026 at 9am ET. MyERAS opens for programs to review applications on December 2, 2026 at 9am ET. |
| Application Deadline | The deadline to submit your application via MyERAS is January 11, 2027. No exceptions will be made. |
| Interviews | Interviews will take place February 1, 2027 – May 28, 2027. CGSO Fellowship Programs may elect to hold either virtual or in person interviews. There should be one declared approach at each institution, either virtual or in-person, and no hybrid combination of both approaches. Programs may make exceptions to accommodate candidates with extenuating circumstances. However, these expectations should not result in a hybrid interview format, with virtual and in-person interviews occurring on the same day. The SSO supports each program’s autonomy to select the interview format that best meets the needs of both the program and its fellowship candidates. |
| Rank Order List Entry (via NRMP) | The Ranking Entry process will be conducted through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP®). All fellowship candidates are required register with the NRMP® (even if you have utilized the R3 system before). Candidates should register through the Registration, Ranking, and Results® (R3®) system, using a unique email, username and password.
