Strict requirements must be met to be an approved training program. All prospective programs should review the Governing Documents, including the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program Requirements, the Breast Surgical Oncology Curriculum and Minimum Training Requirements, and the Breast Surgical Oncology Policies and Procedures (please note the Program Director and Associate Program Director Policy). Your program must be prepared to address how they will meet these requirements at the time of application. As of December 16, 2019, the fee for processing applications for programs seeking initial approval will be a non-refundable $2,000 fee and an invoice will be generated and sent once the PID is received. The PID will not be reviewed until the application fee has been paid.
Please be aware that this fee is not the site visit and annual program fee. This is a secondary fee that will be assessed at the time of program approval and site visit.

Once the PID is complete, please email it to fellowship@surgonc.org. You will receive an email confirmation within 2-3 business days.

Fellowship applicants will soon be able to view the sign-up calendar to see what dates programs have reserved to conduct their interviews as part of the 2025 Match process. Interviews will take place between February 27 and June 27, 2025. Prospective applicants should be aware that programs will be conducting interviews either in-person or virtually as noted on the sign-up calendar. Applicants should utilize the “list view” option to scroll through the full list of the dates and programs to see if a program will be conducting in-person or virtual interviews.
Please note that some programs may conduct interviews on only one date, whereas others may offer two dates for interviews.
As per the approved Match Timeline, programs must wait until February 3, 2025, to notify any candidates they wish to interview. Interviews may be conducted either in-person or virtually in 2025.
