Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship
For Current and Prospective Programs

The fee for processing applications for programs seeking initial approval will be a non-refundable $2,000 fee and an invoice will be generated and sent once the PID is received. The PID will not be reviewed until the application fee has been paid. Please be aware that this application fee is not the site visit and annual program fee. That is a secondary fee that is assessed at the time of program approval and before the site visit can be scheduled.

Below are the UPDATED Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program Requirements. Starting August 1, 2026, for AY2026-2027 these will replace all previous versions.

Your program must be prepared to address how they will meet these requirements at the time of application. The Breast Surgical Oncology (BSO) Training Committee reviews and approves breast oncology fellowship training programs annually and accepts new PID applications up to January 15 of each year. Once the PID is complete, please email it to fellowship@surgonc.org. You will receive an email confirmation within 2-3 business days.
