Surgical Oncology Insight continues to grow and flourish in its second year as a new journal. Our incredible Editorial Board consisting of disease experts and thought leaders from all over the world has worked hard to make this journal a truly global effort, highlighting original research and novel techniques from various countries around the world, emphasizing the multi-disciplinary approach to disease, and focusing on the clinical applications of clinical trials conducted within each disease space. We have published informative invited articles that review important state of the art treatment paradigms for various cancers, educational primers for students and trainees, and detailed accounts of building an advanced oncology treatment program from the ground up in an under-resourced country. Our podcast series has focused on relevant and controversial topics as we have enjoyed listening to the lively banter and discussion amongst experts in the field. Recently, the journal was accepted to be included in Scopus, a leading global academic indexing platform. Our reach is growing with already over 60,000 downloads of our articles in this calendar year alone. All of these accomplishments mark the success of Surgical Oncology Insight, and it is all attributed to the hard work and support of our Editorial Board, authors, reviewers, readers, and staff.
