Partners for World Health (PWH), in partnership with the National Institute for Cancer and Research Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh, will conduct an educational conference along with operating room partnering March 13 – 19, 2021. The Institute is a 350-bed hospital for cancer patients, with most being diagnosed with Stage III and Stage IV cancer of all types. Each practitioner will be responsible for 6 PowerPoint presentations on a variety of topics associated with their specialty. All health care providers will participate in unit rounds, tumor board discussions, and OPD consultations. In addition, each Surgeon will be responsible for 10-15 surgical procedures in an active OR. Several types of surgeons and multidisciplinary team members are needed and listed below.
The PWH team will stay at the Six Seasons Hotel Dhaka, Bangladesh. Each person will cover their expenses; however, PWH will organize travel logistics to include, air, hotel, in country transportation, credentialing with the MOH, Visa process, and interpreters.
